Running the business behind the work.
Most people I work with have built something good and then spend most of their day on everything that isn't the good thing. Fulfillment. Customer service. Platform migrations. The eight tools that used to be three.
Right now I'm working with a creator-led commerce business on a platform rebuild: site architecture, a subscription cutover to new infrastructure, a public launch, and the operational shape that lets the owner stay at the owner level instead of the packing-slip level.
And with an audio network on the month-to-month rhythm of its business: YouTube analytics, a monthly dashboard the board actually reads, distribution that keeps the mission and the P&L in the same room.
This is hands-on work. I build the dashboard. I run the migration. I have loaded the envelopes into the printer, one at a time. That's not a metaphor for attention to detail. It's how you get close enough to a business to see what would actually improve it.
Who it's for
Owners and operators with an established thing and a business attached to it. Subscription products. E-commerce. Podcast networks. Author businesses. Independent publishers. People who'd rather make the next thing than manage the last one.
